Philippe Le Blanc, chief investment officer at COTE 100 and blogger on the lesaffaires.com website, has today published Avantage Bourse, offering an original point of view on stock market investing. In this popularizing work published in French, the author demonstrates that investing is not only based on financial ratios, but just as much on psychological aspects which, like in sports, influence the results obtained.
Avantage Bourse follows the success of La Bourse ou la Vie, a best-selling book co-written in 1995 by Philippe Le Blanc and his father Guy, aimed at informed investors as well as at the general public wishing to learn about the stock market.
By making the link between his two passions, the stock market and tennis, Philippe Le Blanc’s Avantage Bourse presents strategies to recognize the pitfalls that await any investor and offers ways to avoid often costly mistakes. It also presents tools that will allow the investor to make better decisions, understand the workings of investment and develop his or her own method of analysis. He develops his presentation through three main themes, strategy, fundamental analysis, and psychology, all supported by concrete and relevant examples.
“Contributing to financial literacy has been part of our mission at COTE 100 for more than three decades, and I am proud to offer this book 25 years after the first publication of La Bourse ou la Vie”, explains Philippe Le Blanc. “I wanted to make stock market investing more accessible by dealing with fewer financial ratios, which are often somewhat dry, and by presenting more of the psychological aspects with over 30 behavioral biases in which many investors will find themselves.”
Published by COTE 100, Avantage Bourse is available here and will be available in bookstores starting January.
