I’m not advocating following the stock markets closely. On the contrary, to follow its evolution daily, an investor quickly loses focus.
We should nevertheless have an overall idea of what is happening on the stock markets. Specifically, it is important to know the valuation of the market as a whole. I therefore like to consult the Standard & Poor’s site occasionally to get an idea of the valuation of the S&P 500.
